I finally finished the pattern for the first in my new collection of winter accessories. These pieces are all inspired by the characters from The Golden Girls, and this set is inspired by Rose.
Coming soon will be the sets for Blanche, Dorothy, and Sophia. I’m so excited about this! I know it’s not obviously nerdy, but it’s definitely pop culture related, and I know there are still lots of fans of this show around. Plus, there are plenty of people who like cosy and pretty winter gear 😉

I LOVE that you’re naming your new designs after the Golden Girls!! The show brings back some of my fondest childhood memories spent with my gran. My husband and son always claimed it was ‘dorky’- and we’re nerds extraordinaire!! I’ve been watching it while crocheting (thanks, Hulu!), and my boys quickly became fans! I’m excited to see what you come up with for each character. This set is perfect for Rose, with her childlike nature Blanche would be rather challenging I think- vain and boy-crazy in yarn form?! Looking forward to your designs, Denise! ☺️

Thank you, Crystal! It is a great show and it was so far ahead of its time in many ways. Plus, it’s hilarious. I’m so glad you think this suits Rose 🙂 It’s such a fun and cheerful set. The pieces I’m doing for Blanche are slow going because I’m using a 2mm hook and in two hours I’ll have two pieces finished 😫 In the same time I’d have half of this beanie done! But I’ll keep going, don’t worry about that 😄
